“O, with what freshness,
what solemnity and beauty,
is each new day born;
as if to say to insensate man,
'Behold!
thou hast one more chance!
Strive for immortal glory!”
~Harriet Beecher Stowe

Stay True to Your Game
Hello Fallen Friends,

Wow! I looked at my last entry date this morning, and thought "You haven't updated in like forever. Get to itttt!" Before you throw stones at me for slacking (actually you might not have been thinking about my neglect the way I have, so I understand) I wanted to justify my absence. The transformation of my house from ranch boring to Italian villa bling has taken a lot of my time. New landscaping was planted this past month, and I love it, love it. My sons (both summer babes) had birthdays these past four weeks as well. Needless to say, I've spent a lot of time at the skate park, lugging friends back and forth from the library to home and then some...etc. etc.

So, what does all this have to do with writing you ask? Everyone that's been following me over these past couple of years knows that I don't usually babble on without reason, or a roundabout path back to the writing. This entry's no different. It's about knowing who you are and what's important in your life. These things will show through in your writing. Because at the end of the day, your characters are part of these lovely people you see on a daily basis. Don't neglect your family. Don't ignore your friends. Eat a chocolate cake on your birthday (and on your children's b-days so you'll have extra excuses) Be kind to the elderly person driving 10mph in front of you (could be an agent in disguise). It's all about staying true to your game, your life, and your writing will show it too.

Yours in Prose,
KayLeigh
